ABOUT: What is the formula for water in a wave: According to Google, the speed of a shallow water wave is calculated using the equation v = ( g d ), where g is the acceleration of gravity and d is water depth. This particular wave, and once again, the location is withheld, is extremely shallow in the impact zone; however, behind the reef, it drops to an incredible 80-100m, which is extremely deep. I would not even like to imagine the consequences if I made a mistake and found myself directly in front of this beast; the power may be unmeasurable.

I would have loved to photograph this location in golden hour ( The last hour before sunset and the first hour after sunrise ); however, that's going to take far more planning and logistics, considering I am 15km out to sea, maybe launching the ski under a full moon would be a good workaround.
